This paper is based on a literature review of 42 papers, all of which comment on the connection between educational attainment and longevity. Unfortunately, only the paper by Willson (2009) and some of the OECD analysis used any Canadian data. This review finds a very strong correlation between educational attainment and life expectancy. Educational attainment affects and, in some cases, effects many other socioeconomic traits, such as income, smoking habits, obesity, tensions around employment and income security
