Because of its complexity, ensuring the security of cyberspace is one of today’s most significant challenges. 

Cyber risk analysis is the primary tool for quantifying and managing the consequences of cyber events, by asking: what can go wrong, what is the likelihood of it happening, and what is the impact if it does? 

The approach presented in this joint research by the CIA, SOA, and CAS provides a simulation of vulnerability in a network and what mitigation scenarios might apply, offering a framework for actuaries and network managers to use in real-world situations.
