This updated version of the educational note reflects the new framework to determine capital requirements for segregated fund guarantee risk, which was introduced in the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions’ (OSFI’s) life insurance capital adequacy test (LICAT) 2025 and the Autorité des marches financiers’ (AMF’s) capital adequacy requirements for life and health insurance (CARLI) 2025.
