Member feedback is invited on this notice of intent for the development of a new insight statement that will build on the findings from the CIA research paper, Longevity of Infrastructure – Reserving and Risk Management in Condominium Maintenance in Canada. This insight statement will consider the risks a condo buyer may face from owning a condo, including the challenges posed by aging condo infrastructure, climate change issues affecting insurance premium increase, financial misunderstanding of condo boards of directors, inter-generational inequities, and possible loss in value invested.
