Second Revision of Educational Note—Dynamic Capital Adequacy Testing

The Canadian Institute of Actuaries published its last revised educational note on Dynamic Capital Adequacy Testing (DCAT) in November 2013. The primary purpose of this update is to ensure consistency with revisions to the Standards of Practice – Dynamic Capital Adequacy Testing – Section 2500 and reflect any updates needed due to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI)/Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) guidelines on capital requirements, effective January 1, 2018: Life Insurance Capital Adequacy Test (LICAT) and Capital Adequacy Requirements for Life and Health Insurance (CARLI).
