ASOC Public Meeting and Webcast

Are you interested in actuarial standards of practice as they relate to pensions, insurance, and benefit programs? Make sure to attend the Actuarial Standards Oversight Council (ASOC) Public Meeting in Toronto.

ASOC serves the public interest by supporting the Actuarial Standards Board (ASB) in its mission, overseeing its work, and providing input into its activities. The ASOC has a broad, public-oriented perspective of the complex issues facing the ASB, due to the composition of its membership, which is made up of savvy, experienced individuals from inside and outside the actuarial profession.

When: Wednesday, December 14
11:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (lunch will be served at noon; presentations begin at 12:30 p.m.)

Where:
Fairmont Royal York Hotel, 100 Front Street West, Toronto

Guest Speakers:
Tricia O’Malley, Chair, ASOC
Ty Faulds, FCIA, Chair, Actuarial Standards Board
Dave Pelletier, FCIA, Chair, CIA International Relations Council
Micheline Dionne, FCIA

The panel will provide an overview of ASOC and ASB activities, as well as international updates.

Registration is now open for a limited number of spaces. Attendance at the meeting can be used towards continuing professional development (CPD) professionalism credits.

Can’t attend the meeting in person? Register for the ASOC Public Meeting webcast.
