Actulab Competition

Do you have what it takes to price cyber risk? Can you help an insurance company find the clients it’s targeting?

Those are the themes of the two cases (in French) presented by industry partners at the Actulab competition, held October 10 at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Each case has a $1,500 prize. The deadline for submitting a solution is November 10, 2017.

Anyone can propose a solution, even if they did not attend the Montréal event. The only caveat is that you will not be eligible to win a monetary prize if you submit a solution for a company in which you are working full time.

Actulab provides students, professors, and professionals the opportunity to team up, regardless of their field of expertise, in order to solve practical problems raised by the event’s partners. It is a great way for those at the beginning of their careers to acquire work experience by contributing to a concrete project.

Those who are interested in competing are encouraged to contact the company that created the case (through the links on the competition web page), including English translation requests, if required.
