Ella Young
Ella Young is both CST-SPOR data analytics project manager for BC’s Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and director, care continuum and actuarial analytics for Vancouver Coastal Health. She was recently the director of risk and actuarial analytics for the British Columbia Ministry of Health.
Ms. Young has over 15 years of experience implementing solutions to strategic issues with process, risk, and statistical expertise to help those providing health services use and execute analytics to optimize patient outcomes and resource allocation. Her career has spanned several jurisdictions and industries including healthcare, insurance, and energy.
She has published many articles in a variety of peer-reviewed journals including Health Affairs, Interfaces, and The Actuary. Her credentials include a BComm (Hons) in actuarial science and finance, a master of health administration (MHA) from the University of British Columbia, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certification in Risk Management (CRM), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and Certified Health Executive (CHE) (Canada).
