Daniel Gardner
Daniel Gardner is a professor at Université Laval’s Faculty of Law, where he teaches contract law (contracts and civil liability). The two works for which he is best known are Le préjudice corporel, 3rd ed., 2009, and Jurisprudence commentée sur les obligations, 11th ed., 2013 (co-authored by Maurice Tancelin). A preeminent specialist in all areas involving damage appraisal, he has published numerous research reports and doctrine articles, in addition to contributing regularly to the Revue du Notariat with his annual column on obligations.
A visiting professor in several law faculties around the world (mainly in France), Mr. Gardner delivers some 20 lectures a year to a variety of audiences. He has worked as a consultant for numerous organizations in the fields of insurance, compensation, and consumer law in Québec and abroad.
