Marie-Claude Doucet

Marie-Claude Doucet was appointed chair and CEO of the New Brunswick Insurance Board in October 2016. She holds a bachelor of psychology degree (2002) and law degree (2005) from Université de Moncton. She earned an MBA from Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, in 2007 and was admitted to the New Brunswick Bar in 2008. In 2017, she completed a certification in Adjudication for Administrative Agencies, Boards and Tribunals at York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School.

Prior to her appointment to the Board, Ms. Doucet practised law at Bossé Viola LeBlanc, a boutique law firm, where she focused on civil litigation, specifically in the areas of personal injury and insurance law. She is a member of the Law Society of New Brunswick, the Canadian Bar Association, the Moncton Area Lawyers Association, and the Association des juristes d’expression française du Nouveau-Brunswick
