Transition rules
1) Credit for FM/2 can be achieved with ACMA 210 completed prior to September 2017 with a grade of B+ or higher, subject to the three-year sunset clause. ACMA 210 completed prior to September 2017 with a grade of B must be combined with courses in accordance to accreditation rules set in prior applicable years, subject to the three-year sunset clause. Please note that BUS 316 and BUS 419 are no longer accredited courses starting in 2017-2018.
2) The following recognition rules for exams MFE and C will be applicable. For ease of reference, please note that ‘Old’ means that a course was completed before September 2017 and that ‘New’ refers to a course completed after September 2017.

- UK Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA): FIA, AIA
- Institute of Actuaries of Australia (IAA): AIAA, FIAA
The CIA does not guarantee that credits granted to candidates under the CIA UAP will be recognized by any other actuarial organizations towards their actuarial designations.
