The virtual PEC is staying!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 Practice Education Course (PEC) will be delivered virtually.

Gain practical education on industry practices, professional standards, legislation, and taxation within the Canadian context.

What to expect:

  • Hands-on, practical knowledge of practice-specific course content through interactive online group workshops and seminars.
  • Guidance on how Canadian professional standards affect actuarial work.
  • Networking with experts and peers in your field of practice.

The PEC is offered virtually twice a year.

  • May 31–June 2, 2022
  • November 29–December 1, 2022: Applications are  accepted until September 16, 2022  . Please note the Group Benefits track will be offered based on demand; given insufficient demand, the track will be deferred to June 2023

Please note, the course takes place over three days, with daily five-hour sessions (approximately). An e-learning module must be completed prior to beginning the course, and attestation of course completion is required before a certificate is issued.

French sessions will be offered given demand. You can select your language preference during the application process. Course materials are accessible in English and French.
