Your Questions Answered: Proposed Changes to CPD Requirements

Thank you to members who have submitted comments on the member consultation on proposed changes to the continuing professional development (CPD) requirements which opened on October 12. There has also been a lively discussion on the General List.

A Q&A on this topic is now available on the CIA website (you must be logged in to the members’ site to view it) to answer many of the questions that members have raised and to help explain the impact of the proposed changes which directly affect member obligations and privileges.

Members of the Task Force on the Implementation of the Proposed Changes to the CPD Requirements are presenting two free webcasts on Wednesday, November 15. There will be one in French and one in English, which will provide an overview of the proposed changes, as well as an opportunity to ask questions.

Members may provide comments on the proposed changes using the online form (you must be logged in to the members’ site) or by e-mail to Lynn Blackburn, director, professional practice and volunteer services at lynn.blackburn@cia-ica.ca no later than November 22, 2017.
