Saturday Deadline: Disclosure of Criminal Conviction Requirements

The new requirement for CIA members and new applicants to the Institute to disclose any criminal convictions became effective on September 1, 2016.

Members are reminded that, per the transitional measures related to the disclosure requirements, the deadline for disclosing criminal convictions that occurred prior to September 1, 2016 is July 1, 2017.


If you do not have a criminal conviction to disclose, no action is required on your part.


The Committee on Professionalism (PROF) has developed Disclosure of a Criminal Conviction Review and Assessment Procedures which have been approved by the Eligibility and Education Council and are posted to the CIA website for members’ information.
