Reminder: Joint Networking Event – CIA and ASNA – Pointe-à-Callière Montréal – August 14

The Pumping Station
Tuesday, August 14, 2018
Networking event: 5:00–7:00 p.m.
Optional tour: 7:00–8:00 p.m.

The CIA and the Actuarial Students’ National Association (ASNA) are joining forces on August 14 for a unique networking opportunity in Montréal’s Pointe-à-Callière national archaeological and historic site.

The main event will be held at the Youville Pumping Station, a key building in Montréal’s industrial heritage. The evening features TED-style talks by several CIA members on career-related topics, great food and drink, and the opportunity to network with students and CIA members. We’ll wrap up the evening with an optional guided tour, Building Montréal.

The Building Montréal exhibition explores the city’s past under French and British regimes, from the 17th to the 19th century. It includes a multimedia installation that explores the remains in the museum’s archaeological crypt, including one of the only remaining walls from the 1744 fortifications. Pointe-à-Callière covers centuries of history from the First Nations to the present, and houses remarkable architectural remains displayed in situ.

A nominal $10.00 registration fee reserves your spot at the event.
The Building Montréal tour is an additional $10.00.

Space is limited, so please book by August 7.
