Don’t Miss “Climate Change – Substituting Facts for Appearances” Cocktail Event in Toronto

The Actuarial Club of Toronto (ACT) invites you to attend its climate change cocktail event on October 16 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at one of Toronto’s premier venues, The Spoke Club.

Articles on responsible investing and climate change appear in the media on an almost daily basis. Climate change has the potential to affect many sectors where actuaries work: life insurance, property and casualty insurance, pension, and investments.

Jean Michaud, an engineer with 30+ years of experience in commodity trading with a keen interest in oil and alternative energy sources, will present on the carbon footprint of the electric vehicle. Catherine Jacques-Brissette, ACIA, who is pioneering an emerging actuarial practice that analyzes the financial impact of climate change, will discuss the Actuaries Climate IndexTM and how climate change impacts the actuarial profession.

Tickets are $25. You must purchase online in advance. Tickets are not available at the door.

Take advantage of this opportunity to join your peers for an evening of networking and professional development.

Subscribe to the ACT’s mailing list to stay informed of club activities.
