Moderator and Speaker Information

Thank you for agreeing to participate in the CIA Pension Seminar in Toronto on November 7. Below is the information you need to know in order to prepare for the event.

Presentation Information and Guidelines

The moderator of each session is encouraged to arrange a conference call with all session speakers prior to the seminar. If you have not received yet a call from either the moderator or lead speaker of your session, please notify Roxanne Vézina.

The Canadian Institute of Actuaries strongly urges all speakers to use presentation materials. While it is not mandatory to use the CIA meeting template, it is highly recommended to ensure a consistent format for the entire seminar. 

We request that all presentations be submitted as original PowerPoint files. They will be converted to PDF files prior to being posted on the CIA meeting app and in the Proceedings section of the CIA website after the event. If you do not intend to have a presentation or handouts for your session, please notify Roxanne Vézina.

Logistics

Registration 

All moderators and presenters are required to register for the meeting—the deadline is October 30. Discounted registration rates are available for all moderators and speakers.

Hotel Accommodations

All presenters are responsible for their own hotel arrangements.

On-site

Upon arrival at the venue, please pick up your registration materials and name badge at the CIA registration desk. The desk will be open from 7:00 am to 11:30 am.

The exact room location of your session will be listed in the final program summary that will be provided when you pick up your registration packet at the registration desk.
